READ THIS

Hi.  I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday weekend.  Today Randy and I are meeting my family for lunch.  He will meet my father for the first time and spend a bit of time getting to know who I came from and who I leave behind.  I am a bit stressed emotionally.

No time for a proper  Funch post... but I bring you this treasure.   You may recall that I found my friend from school through blogging.  He is among many things a writer.  Patrick .  I thought you might enjoy reading a sample of his work.  Enjoy!

See you tomorrow!

  1. Just take a couple of deep breaths. What really matters is who you are now. Hope you have a wonderful lunch. A good, stiff cocktail sometimes helps in these matters ;-)

  3. That does sound stressful, yet really, what a gift to be able to give over your past to Randy, as well as your future.

    Your friend's post is AMAZING!

  9. Churlita-- I am very close now.

In typical style for my family it all got screwed up. The bear got sick... she was Squeaky's ride. They tried to call me but I left my phone at home and had no numbers with me. Max got stranded in another town. My dad got mixed up on the day.

In the end, Randy and I had a quiet lunch where I could wave at Boo... who was cooking his ass off for the crowds of tourists and then we quietly loaded my stuff into his truck and went home.

    That's life.
