Ole

This is the bouncing souls.  I love this one.  It really gets you going.  Sometimes I really need something to get me going.  I thought you might enjoy it.  But it is loud... so adjust your speakers to a comfort zone you prefer.  Me... I crank this one up!  A nice pick me up for a lazy Sunday.

The frogs are a croaking.   It could be worse.  Life here isn't very dull anymore.  I like that.  Indeed I do.

Hey... I found a mechanic to fix my Aspire.  Cool beans.  Monday afternoon.  So there you have it... a slice of my somewhat pathetic but happy life.  Well  mostly happy anyway.

  1. I hope that he's a good mechanic, that's a somewhat complex job best left to good mechanics that know what they are doing. And make sure he puts a good pressure plate in it this time, like I told you when I was there, buy it from a local parts house and not off of the internut.

Never heard of the bouncing souls, too much racket for me and I can't make out the vocals. I hate it when I can't make out the words.

Anyway, I think that this is cool. SPIRITS PROJECTS

  2. Yep. Played loudly gives maximum value. I recently dug out one of my old favorites to drown out the pain of boring chores: Everclear's So Much For The Afterglow. That one stayed in my player for months when it came out, but I'd kind of forgotten about it. Especially like Ataraxia/Normal Like You. When that album was over, by God, my laundry was done. ;-)

  3. Billy B.-- I took your advice and bought it at Nappa.

I can make out the words easily, but I enjoy loud music when I am in the mood.

  4. Cricket-- I have to look that one up. I like Everclear but don't recall that particular song. I will go listen to it as soon as I finish this. I am always open to music.

The Bouncing Souls were much bigger in the UK than they got here. They were unfortunately tagged as "the Irish Clash" and I think that people thought they were Clash clones and did not take them very seriously. The Clash is The Clash. Can't copy that! But these fellows had their own thing going and its great stuff.

I do that with my chores too. I love my MP3.

  5. Cricket-- Oops... I gave you wrong information. It was Stiff Little Fingers that were tagged with the Irish Clash label. My mistake! Bouncing Souls are a California skater band.

  6. Eh Mikey introduced you guys to the Bouncing Souls. One day you should put up a Losing Balance song.

  7. Bear-- I have looked for them! I can't find a youtube of them or they would have been here long ago. I know Mikey is responsible for The Bouncing Souls in our house. That fella has great taste in music and is a good musician.

  8. why piss around with frogs when you have bbc?

i'd take a wart covered frog that can fix cars over a handsome prince that can't fix cars for sour apples.

  9. billy pilgrim-- Hahaha... BBC a fine fellow. I am not his type. But I am happy to be his friend, you terrible tease! (That's okay... I like being teased.)

  11. I love that song. The first time I heard it was on XM in Iowa. We drink beer and wear Adidas.

Good to hear things aren't dull. I'm hoping the dull removes itself from my life.

  12. Billy B.-- Yes. I had a good time too when you visited. I am connected to my cell phone... my computer and my land line. Ha. I like to yak, as you noticed I'm sure.

  13. AlienCG-- I knew you would know it! Yay! I love the lyrics too. I really like Gone by them too. Well... just about everything they do.

  14. I bet you'll be glad to have the car working properly. I am glad the frogs are keeping you bust!

  15. secret agent woman-- You and me both!
Yes, frogs keep me busy. And when they are silent, DH is there. In between too. That is nice and appreciated. Living alone is one thing... feeling alone is another entirely. I have lots of friends who email too and that is another good thing that I appreciate.

I'm glad things are staying lively around there and really, really glad you found someone to get you on the road again. Yay!
