APPRICIATED

This week was support staff appreciation week.   We are very touchy feely where I work.  We do all kinds of rah-rah stuff to make ourselves feel valued and important in the scheme of things.  This is one of them.  The teachers and principal made a big deal over the support staff.  They threw a pot luck for us... gave us cards and presents.  It was on one of our half days.  I had a lot of fun.  I like the cards best... the kids all sign them too.  I also got a tote bag and a school hoodie.  The meal kicked the heck out of my diet... but its only one day and I am back on track now.  So it goes.

Friday I have my last date for a time.  Like I said... I am relocating to a nice large city area.  I can begin a new pond when I get there.  Until then, I continue to speak to my frogs here.  Most live too far anyway.  Oh well.  It is fun to communicate with them.  My newest frog... who we will call A is a hoot!  But also too far away for serious consideration.  Though he claims to be willing to visit and travel.  A few have.  And I have enjoyed those dates... continue to talk regularly with them via the phone and email or chat.  The move brings me closer to some.  Father from others.  Again... oh well.  What is meant to be will be.  What isn't won't and no problem with that!

I will let you know how the date goes.  This is a nice gentleman.  Fun too.

Have a wonderful weekend.  I do not expect to post until Sunday night at best... but likely Monday.  I have things to get done... packing of stuff mostly.  No need to wait for June.  When that time comes... I fully intend to get in my car and just go.  I can summer there, get to know my new area and have fun doing it.  I will take very little.  Most of what I need to do is get rid of clutter and make sure that my furniture that I love... those antiques that my mom left me... are safely stored.  That the kids all get what they have here and the house is left clean and free for Max.  He is doing a great job of clearing out clutter himself. Yay for Max!

What will you do this weekend?  Squeaky is coming for part of it.  And that makes me happy.  Good times.  Whatever you do... enjoy!

I almost forgot... Mrs.HarryWoman... I tag you!  Folks... if you are interested in the rest of the tale begun there... that is where you should go.  I hope that you do.

  5. secret agent woman-- Thanks. I decided that because I can take so little, that I need to comb through everything and get rid of as much as possible. I am a pack rat. This project will take some time.

  8. laura b.-- That is one nice thing about working in a school. There are a lot of rah-rah type events like these. It does make you feel good about what you do. On the flip side a friend said... but it's cheaper to do this sort of thing for 10 people than it is to give those 10 people raises. True.

I will enjoy! You enjoy too!

I like touchy feely shit, as long as it don't get me in trouble. But it seems to go wrong so often.

  13. Billy B.-- It sure can in personal life. But not in my work life. Two totally different worlds. Personal touchy feelie is much more fun... and can lead to much bigger problems. Ha.
