Cousins Will and Henry are only a year away from capping when they hear of a hold-out of men who are fighting the machines and live free of the caps. The show follows their journey to try and locate the freedom fighters.
We used to watch this show every Sunday morning on the PBS while having breakfast in bed. It was a great way to start the day.
Churlita-- Ah, no TV days. I was that way from 80-83. Well, if you like sci-fi it was a great show. I'd recommend it. Though with CGI and all, it would not be as amazing now as it seemed then. :-)
Cube-- Isn't that the truth about the Internet? It's also true of the people I "talk" to... everyone knows something fascinating and they are so great about sharing. I love it here.
Hey all-- just got something cool from a friend. Its a live feed "Raptor Cam" of a redtailed hawk. I watched it feed baby a mouse earlier. Here is the URL:
I loved the Tripods Trilogy!
ReplyDeletedmarks-- Where the hell did you come from? I was still typing my post and there was a comment when I published. Wow. You are fast! Ha.
ReplyDeleteSo I am not alone in my memories. Cool beans.
dmarks-- So now that I look at the post again, does that mean the books? I have not read them, should I?
ReplyDeleteThe books are great.
ReplyDeleteI think what happened was that you'd already saved it or something, and I saw that.
dmarks-- I'll have to look into the books.
ReplyDeleteThis one was difficult to get my blog to accept and I did save a couple of times. That makes sense. How funny, though!
I've never seen this series. But I didn't have a television through most of the mid-80's, so I didn't see a lot of shows back then.

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this series either which surprises me because I haven't been without a TV since 1962.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, but this is what I love most about the Internet... it teaches me something new a whole heck of a lot of the time ;-)
