  14. Merry Christmas!

Coincidentally, I mentioned this ELP song in a post on someone else's blog a couple of days ago.

Trivia point: this song lifts from Prokofiev's "Lt. Kije Suite". Sting's song "Russians" is pretty much entirely based on another section of "Lt. Kije".

  15. Peggy-- Glad that I could make that wish come true! Look for it. I've got way too much time on my hands right now. No better time really.

  16. dmarks-- Great minds think alike! ha

Thanks for the trivia... I did not know this.

As you know, I am over fond of this man's voice. Most of his songs are firmly (ha... makes a good pun since he was in The Firm.) planted in my head and can be called up with every note.

Plus I love the message in it. Our lives are what we make of them. Not that I think that people who go without deserve that fate, but I don't think that was the intent. But if you are bitter and have no one... you need to make adjustments in your life. Give and then you receive. We make our happiness for the most part.

Here's wishing you peace in your heart this year... and all others to follow.

  17. Lake was in "The Firm"? Did not know that!

I think he's probabiy the #2 or #3 best male vocalist, actually.

  18. dmarks-- Ooops... no he wasn't in The Firm, that was Paul Rogers. Sorry, brain fart!

So who would you say were #1 and #2?

  19. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Stay warm.

Thanks for Aiken's "Mary Did You Know". That makes the 5th version of the song I have heard today. Mr. Cube loves the Christmas music.

  21. Cube-- Isn't it funny how that happens with a song sometimes?

I hope your family has a wonderful Christmas today... and I am glad that Mr. Cube liked the music too.
