SCRATCHING MY HEAD

When last I left you... I was going out on Friday evening with the Nu-B. Well, that did not happen. Let me say that something came to light that indicated that I simply was NOT going there.

Internet dating is a real crap shoot. When that did not pan out I was relieved that I had not gone... however was still left with the disappointment of having no where to go and no one to hang out with. Crap.

But being me... never say die... I let Miss Bliss take over and get ballsy. Back onto the social network places... the two that I have used and when two new ones
popped up... I thought what the heck, why not do the free trial there too. What can it hurt right?

No, I didn't get hurt. What I now have is a date on Saturday next and four other people communicating with me. Four were from the new sites and the date guy I'd had conversations with prior to this. I have literally been on line with one or another... or on the phone all weekend long! YIKES.
So much for the boredom of Saturday morning.

CAN THE AMAZING MISS BLISS JUGGLE SO MANY AT ONCE?

Miss Bliss c. 1971 could. Ananda is twitching!
The whole idea here is to find one nice man. There are an awful lot of frogs!

Let's hope that one of them turns into a prince.

My average is one normal man to five screwballs, scammers, perverts and what-was-thats so far.

Well, the Book Fair is set up and ready to go in the morning. It took me hours... but the above distractions kept popping up...and I am not complaining. I am dreading the week because of the Book Fair. So much extra crud to do and worry about... like light fingers. But it earns us books for the library and with my budget so sad these days, I need it.
I'm afraid I have to be grateful for it this year.

This one I just really liked. I found it over at Left Coast Rebel's blog. Hope you don't mind that I nabbed it LCR! He had a really nice blog post today about unusual animals.

Hope you all had a happy weekend!

  2. Mo-- Ha Delightful! That is so true. I'd not thought of it that way. I will now. Very optimistic. I like that.

  3. Ribbit! I haven't done the online dating thing. I'm unsure of it at this point. I hope you have good luck with all these guys on the line.

  4. i found love on-line last week.

she weighs 28 pounds, has disk brakes and rapid-fire shifters. so far she has performed admirably, lets me ride her hard and doesn't follow me around trying to communicate with me after the work out.

yup, somebody up there likes me.

  5. Well, see, I'm one of the screwball perverts, and I'm out of the mix (being married and all) so instead of 1 in 5, your odds should be down to 1 in 4. See? Good news!

  6. AlienCG-- YOu don't seem like a frog to me! It's just a weird thing to be doing. I think I've already dropped a frog today... He may have been more of a toad! And hey... maybe they will feel the same about me who knows?

  9. Good for you for being such a trooper. I'm more inclined to give up after every unsuccessful try. You are my inspiration.

  10. Churlita-- Thanks. I have to tell you, it's a carnival ride. But I am having fun, no matter how it sounds and after I got over the shock of his er... unusual request... I have laughed ever since. Fodder for the writer's mill! I'll manage to use the experience somewhere on down the line.

  12. I would just love to know what happened. Did it involve a number, or shoes, or a camera, some rubber tubing and a yak...?

  13. Pamela-- I do! I have more energy now that I had in my 30s. But I run out of kid in less than a year. While I do not believe in taking just anyone to avoid being alone, I don't enjoy being alone either. Thought I'd give myself the year to find someone acceptable... I hope.

  15. Internet dating is a real crap shoot.

No kidding, but then all dating is a real crap shoot, that I pretty much avoid anymore. I just socialize with them and let it go at that.

I do what I want when I want and go camping when I want and!!!! I have money I wouldn't have if I was dating. I seldom had extra money when with a mate or when looking for one.

I like my chosen life and I'm sticking with it being as the woman never showed up that likes a basic life like I like to live.

  16. hey, at the very least you could get some amusing blog fodder out of the dating sites, right?

  17. BBC-- Then it sounds like you have the life you want. Cool beans.

  18. lime-- Sebastien pointed that out to me yesterday... he and you ... are soooooo right. I plan on doing that very thing.

"What a long strange trip is this..."

  19. Wisdom, stop looking for a mate and dating and just get on with your life and improving it and and they start showing up on your doorstep like stink on shit.

Happens to me all the time. None so far has worked out but it sure saves me a lot of wasted time and money running around looking for a mate.

And I've learned that if she is out there she is one in a million, maybe a billion. I'm willing to hold out for that, and if she doesn't show up, well, so be it, I keep pretty damn busy with other things anyway, like saving dames that don't pay attention to their tires. :-)

  20. I pack a female repellent around with me, ha ha ha.

  21. Oh my goodness. Well, yeah, I mean the oddballs are definitely out there. Your weird friend will come across someone who will be totally into his unusual proclivities. And you will surely come across the 1 in 5 who is kind, normal, and meant for you.
