I can't come to Oodles of Funch right now... I'm at the beach!!!!!!!!!!!!
And it feels like heaven !
Okay... I have not left yet. But by the time you get to read this I will be there. It's safe to assume it will feel like heaven because the beach is my favorite place on earth and it always feels that way to me.
There is nothing like the sound and smell of the ocean to clear your head, erase all stress and delight your eyes. Merely being there renews my body, mind and spirit.
Now to share it with someone else... Cool beans!
I have given myself permission to stop fussing and worrying over the house. He should be here in about an hour now... unless he drives really fast, but I'm guessing an hour. So I have time to go take a nice, long, hot shower. Aaaaahhhhh...
I've also given myself permission to have a blast.
Bye bye for now. I'll think of you all at the beach.
Sweet.
IMO there's no better place than the beach and, today, I'm enjoying it vicariously though you.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
I love going to the beach, preferably on nice summer days. But enjoying a nice winter storm at one in my comfy 5th wheel is good also.
ReplyDeleteBoy, not the best weekend for you if it is raining as much there as it is here. Stay dry.
I'm going to distill this alcoholic apple juice conglomeration I have here today, or blow something up, ha ha ha.
I hope you had a good weekend at the beach and didn't worry about anything. I hope you're all relaxed and ready to face life again.
ReplyDeleteCube-- Well we had a fantastic time.
ReplyDeleteBBC-- It was stormy, but we had our room right on the beach with a covered porch to sit on and got to watch the waves do fun stuff. When it didn't rain (off and on) I got to run down and play... and got caught by a wave once. It was so neat.
AlienCG-- I had the most wonderful weekend that I have had since I can remember. The ocean absolutely renews me and makes me feel like I'm ten again. We didn't hurry anywhere. No cell phones allowed. Just relaxing and enjoying. The only problem at all was that I did not want to go home. It was hard to leave the beach behind.
I'm glad you had fun. The pictures were nice, but it looked cold to this tropical flower. Brrrr.
ReplyDeleteCube-- That's probably true for you. I am used to 47 degree days right now. It seemed fairly warm to me for it to be in the high 50s. But you're talking to the gal who doesn't own a coat and goes out in the snow in a sweatshirt... and sometimes shorts.
ReplyDeleteYay, Ananda Girl! I think that says it all :-)
