  2. Billy P, I'll bet the frog she divorced is also jumping for joy. Just saying is all.

It sure went through fast after getting the paperwork in, guess things are different in Oregon.

Well, I don't know how things are here in Washington these days when it comes to divorces. I haven't been married or divorced since 1986.

Being a sort of minister serving folks that don't do churches and religions I just hitch folks up these days.

So they can keep attorneys employed getting them unhitched, it's an important service I provide, ha ha ha

  5. Before this, you could have sung "Free Me" from McVicar (vocals also by Roger Daltrey:

    "Free me
    Cant you hear
    that's what I say
    Free me
    Anyhow or anyway...."

A rather Tommy-esque song from a Who member solo effort.

And by the way, did you hear that The Who are doing the Superbowl halftime? For what it's worth: only half The Who remain.

  6. Congratulations, Ananda Girl! You have been on your own for a long time. It is time to get the perks as well as the responsibilities.

    Ah, responsibilities. :-)

  8. one man's perks are another man's responsibilities.

i don't know if that holds true for women.

  9. A quotation I keep coming back to over the years:

The most difficult thing about "finding your own path" is that you're already on it (whether you like it or not) ! More than likely (whether you know it or not), you've never left it!. That's why finding it is so difficult.

I've been down many paths, I learned that if the path you are on isn't working for you that you can backtrack to the last fork in the paths or take the fork just in front of you and see what it turns out to be.

Lessons learned(if you have learned them) helps in choosing if you are going to stay on a path or try another.

  11. With few exceptions I've burnt my bridges behind me, and I'm not sorry I did. So it's always moving forward for me, the future is forward, not behind us.

  12. B.P., it's true for women, too. First hand knowledge. Where's Ananda?

  13. Thrilled for you.

You were always you, though. You aren't your labels.

  15. billy pilgrim-- THANK YOU! Hahahaha... I don't know about the frogs but I am. I did see two of them though this weekend.

  16. BBC-- The do it yourself one is stressful but cheaper. Yes, the old frog seems as relieved as I am to be free.

In Oregon if you both agree that you want a divorce, you can waive the waiting period as long as you don't have issues to be settled by the court. We didn't. Done deal. Hey... we got married just by saying we wanted to.

  17. Peggy-- Yes indeed. Thank you! I'm already moving.

  18. dmarks-- I did not hear that, but glad you told me. I'll check it out. Thanks.

  19. laura b.-- Oh yah... you've got that right! Thanks.

  20. BBC-- I've had the responsibilities for a long time. Raised four kids on my own for 5 difficult years. I've earned any perks. My responsibility was reduced.

  21. billy pulgri,-- I don't know either. All I know is that I'm due for some perks! laura b. is right about that. I want my fecking perks!

  22. billy pilgrim-- Ooops... typos! Sorry.

  23. Peggy-- Ananda went on a date with the D frog, then to the deer hunter's for the rest of the weekend. She just got home and is happily going to bed.

  24. All interested enough to wonder... yes, D frog and the deer hunter know about each other.

  25. Michael-- I suppose that is true. But somehow this is very liberating. I no longer have to think "us". Thanks for being thrilled for me.

  26. secret agent woman-- Thanks! It is a good thing.
